SUPPLY LIST FOR ADULT PASTEL CLASS

Some kind of backboard - masonite drawing board (large enough for 19x25 paper )

Metal clips (4-6) or masking tape

Vine Charcoal - 1 package of medium to dark

Magic rub eraser

Wet Wipes

Manilla paper, newsprint or gray construction paper 16x20 or larger for warm-ups and exercises.

Canson Mi-Tientes pastel paper - 4 sheets of gray (If you cannot get this color, try to get another mid-value color. Please do not get white.) Texas Art sells this paper for about $1.25 per sheet and Michaels also carries it, but charges more.

Pastels - the largest set you can afford. Since you cannot mix colors it is important to have as many colors as you can. Design sticks, by NUPASTEL, are the most economical way to begin. They run about $.75 each, or can be purchased in sets and are available at Texas Art. If you are not ready to buy more or want to start with what you have, that is ok too.

NO OIL PASTELS
ALPHACOLORS are ok, but the colors are not very vibrant and they tend to be gritty.
